Carey, a former top fashion model who stands at 5'10" she was a favorite of American fashion houses like Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. In 1979, the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists voted her dad Scientist of The Year. Because of his work, Carey grew up all around the world. After she graduated from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs, she began modeling on the side. This caught the eye of an agent from Ford Model Agency New York. The model briefly studied and lived in Paris prior to returning back to New York. Her modeling and college career took off and she appeared on the covers of Glamour's and Vogue's and a variety of other magazines' covers. While modeling as she studied full-time for a literature major within New York University. As she studied acting in the Neighborhood Playhouse, New York, her interest in acting grew. The year 1986 was the year she had her first performance which was a part of Club Paradise, with Robin Williams. In her spare time, she enjoys skiing, wind surfing, rock climbing and white water white water rafting.
