Also, she can be seen in Tyler Perry's hit film, Why Did I Get Married? Perry, Janet Jackson and the film indie Frozen Peas are all starring with her. Her other film credits include The 636 (for which she was awarded Best Actress in the 2014 NYLA International Film Festival), Shattered! Never Die Alone, American Adobo, as well as American Adobo. Cum Laude's B.F.A. was awarded to Keesha upon her graduation. Keesha chose to pursue a career in theater after graduating from Cum-Lude with a Bachelor in Fine Arts. She was a part of The Broadway National Tour of Carousel, debuted Off-Broadway in Michael Bradford's Living in the Wind and played eight different roles in the interactive show Eat the Runt. Keesha played a part in Abyssinia and Aida and Thunder Knockin' as well as Jitney. Her other roles included Big Street, Suburb, The Producers and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. Keesha was even a part of the cast reading alongside August Wilson. Alongside her performances both on stage and screen, Keesha directed episodes of "Lethal Weapon", "Are We There Yet" and also the short film One Day, Lillian and Half Off. Keesha is the co-creator behind Clean, The Brit & Broken Doll and has a variety of additional original projects in the work. Keesha has been working on an album with a full length of songs to showcase her vocals after her success with "Santa Baby".
